Belleville, Ontario On August 15th, at 9:45 p.m. a Belleville resident advised that he received a phone call from Quebec advising that his nephew needed $1800.00 cash in order to post bail in court in Quebec. The funds were wired to Quebec. This is a reoccurring fraud where people claim that a family member needs money for bail.

Another resident received an e-mail on the internet asking for her credit number so that a file could be updated. Police are reminding people not to provide credit card information nor banking information on-line or over the phone.
