Pursuit
Belleville, Ontario - On Saturday 15 August 2015 at 7:47pm a Belleville Police Service Officer was operating radar at Marsh Drive at North Park Street near a housing complex when a vehicle was observed southbound on North Park Street at 90 kph in the 50kph zone passing another southbound vehicle driving dangerously. When the driver saw the police vehicle he accelerated and a police pursuit was initiated and the vehicle failed to stop as it drove through North Park Gardens and Orchard Drive. Police terminated the pursuit for reasons of public safety less than a minute later as the vehicle was continuing to drive dangerously. The vehicle was last seen westbound on College Street East from Prince of Wales Drive.
Pursuit was terminated by the Officer for reasons of public safety.

Fire
Belleville, Ontario - On Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 12:46 am, police responded to a residence on Grier Street to assist the Belleville Fire Department at this location. A 38 year old adult male was rescued from the residence by firefighters and transported by EMS to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The identity of this male will not be released pending next of kin notification. The Ontario Fire Marshall has been notified and this investigation will be continuing.
Disturbances LLA’s
Belleville, Ontario – Belleville Police responded to several disturbances throughout the city overnight.
At 1:47 am, police responded to report of a suspicious person and a large crowd at a business on North front Street. As a result, a 21 year old Belleville male was arrested for his own protection for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place.
At 0240hrs, police responded again to the same location on Northfront Street for a disturbance and as a result, a 20 year old Belleville male was arrested for his own protection for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place contrary to the Liquor Licence Act
