Motor Vehicle Collision

BELLEVILLE, ON - 15 August 2018 at about 6pm, emergency crews rushed to the east end of Belleville on Old Highway 2, just west of Burns Dr.

Paramedics and firefighters assisted numerous people at the scene.  Tyendinaga Police officers assisted Belleville as well.

6 vehicles were involved in a collision, resulting in 8 people being injured.  2 people were transported to KGH with more serious injuries.

Anyone who may have information about the crash, or anyone who was travelling on Old Highway 2 at about 6pm is asked to contact Constable Brad Stitt at (613) 966-0882 ext 2121. 

As well, anyone with dash-cam footage from Old Highway 2 at the time (even if you didn’t see the crash) is urged to assist.

 

Public Intoxication

BELLEVILLE, ON - 15 August 2018 - At 9:00 p.m. Belleville Police responded to a disturbance complaint at the Quinte Mall. A 20 year old Belleville man was arrested for public intoxication and held in police custody overnight. At 2:30 am on August 16th Belleville Police responded to an unwanted person complaint on Mikel Ave. A 34 year old Orono man was arrested for public intoxication and held in police custody until the morning.
