Impaired Driving

Belleville, Ontario ? On January 16, 2010, at 10:29 p.m., police observed a vehicle travelling on North Front Street near Grove Street with an expired validation sticker. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver of the motor vehicle showed signs of impairment and he was arrested. The Ontario license plate attached to the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Belleville Police. A 41 year old Belleville man was arrested and charged with one count of Impaired Driving, Operate Motor vehicle Over 80mgs. And Disqualified driving from an previous impaired He was later released with a February 2010 court date.

Belleville, Ontario ? On January 16, 2010, at 2:15 a.m., observed a vehicle travelling on Bridge Street East near Foster Avenue, driving erratically and on two occasions it mounted the curb and continued driving until stopped by police. A 24 year old Tweed man was arrested and charged with one count of Impaired Driving and Operate Motor vehicle Over 80mgs. He was later released with a February 2010 court date.

Domestic

Belleville, Ontario ? On January 16, 2010 at approximately 2:30 am, police responded to a Domestic Dispute at an east end residence. Investigation revealed that the female resident had been assaulted by her spouse during the argument; however he had left the residence as police were en route to that location. The Canine officer conducted a track but was unsuccessful. The female victim was transported to the Belleville General Hospital for treatment of some minor injuries and released a short time later. Officers received information at a later point the male had returned to the residence. Police arrived on scene and a 52 year old Belleville man was arrested and taken into custody.
