Arrested on warrants

Belleville, Ontario – On July 15th, 2018, at 7:45 p.m. officers attended at Russell Place in relation to a person wanted on outstanding warrants. Officers observed the wanted person – a 21-year-old Belleville woman - running up the stairs to the second floor of the unit. Once at the top of the stairs she started to throw uncapped needles in the direction of the officers. After fifteen minutes of negotiations the woman surrendered to police. Once in custody she claimed to have consumed several pill vials containing unknown narcotics. The woman was transported to hospital for observation. She remained there overnight under police guard. It is anticipated that she will be discharged prior to her bail hearing on July 16th, 2018.  No one was injured.

On July 15th, 2018, at 11:40 p.m. officers attended at a residence on Sinclair Street in relation to a reported domestic dispute. During the investigation the homeowner consented to Police searching her residence for a wanted person. A 24-year-old Belleville man was located hiding behind a bedroom door. He was arrested on the strength of his outstanding warrants on an unrelated matter. His charges include assault causing bodily harm, administering a noxious substance and breach of probation. There were no charges stemming from their argument. He was held for a bail hearing on July 16th, 2018.

Belleville, Ontario – On June 29th, 2018, at 9:15 p.m. a confrontation occurred between two adult males outside the front entrance of Lowe’s on Millennium Parkway.
