Accidents

Belleville, Ontario - Police responded to 9 accidents on March 15th in an 8 ½ hour period. The accident locations were as follows:

8:52 a.m. – Bell Blvd at Cannifton Rd. – minor accident – 2 cars

9:02 a.m. – Tank Farm Rd. – minor accident – 2 cars

9:44 a.m. – 470 Dundas St.E. – pedestrian struck in parking lot – minor injuries

10:27 a.m. – Zion Rd at Old Madoc Rd. – minor accident – 2 cars

10:55 a.m. – Pinnacle St. at Bridge St. – 2 cars – minor injuries – one motorist charged with disobeying a red light

11:00 a.m. – North Front St. – 2 cars

12:14 p.m. – Wallbridge- Loyalist Rd. – 2 cars

2:40 p.m. - Dundas St.E. at Newberry St. – 2 cars

5:31 p.m. – Victoria Ave. at William St. – hit and run accident in a parking lot

Drug Seizure

Belleville, Ontario – On March 15th, at 11:45 p.m., police checked several youths on Coleman St. One youth had a backpack.that contained 24 grams of marijuana, electronic scales, small empty baggies, and drug paraphernalia. The 15 year old youth was charged with Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He was released to a parent with an April courtdate.

Disturbances

Belleville, Ontario – On March 16th, 2013, at 12:30 a.m. police attended on N. Front St. in relation to a disturbance. A 20 year old Belleville man was arrested for public intoxication under the Liquor Licence Act.

At 1:25 a.m., police attended on Front St. in relation to a disturbance. A 34 year old Peterborough man was arrested for public intoxication under the Liquor Licence Act.

At 4:50 a.m. police attended on Russell Place in relation to multiple 911 calls regarding a disturbance. A 46 year old Picton woman was arrested for public intoxication under the Liquor Licence Act. No one was injured in this incident.
