Belleville, Ontario On Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 2:40 pm, police responded to a residence in the north end of the city in regards to a domestic dispute. Prior to police arrival, one of the parties had left the residence. The female in this incident received minor injuries. As a result of a police investigation, an 18 year old Belleville male is charged with Assault contrary to Section 266 and is being held for a bail hearing May 16, 2013.

Assault With Intent To Resist Arrest

Belleville, Ontario On Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 4:44 pm, an officer on patrol observed a male passed out in front of a business on North front Street. While checking on the male's well being, he became noticeably agitated and then assaultive with the officer. This officer then requested assistance and the male continued to fight with all officers involved. Both the initial officer and the male received minor injuries as a result of the altercation. A 59 year old male from Carrying Place has been charged with Assault with Intent to resist arrest contrary to Section 270(1)(b) and was released with a court date in June 2013.
