Break, enter and theft

Belleville, ONT – On October 15th 2019 at 10:27 a.m. police attended to a location on the east side of the city for a reported theft of power tools.  An initial investigation revealed that a door may have been left insecure, allowing entry to a structure.  A scenes-of-crimes officer was also dispatched to assist in examining evidence.  Police are asking anyone with information to please contact investigating officer Cst. Theft of scaffolding

Belleville, ONT - On October 15th 2019 at 10:51 a.m. police investigated an occurrence in which a resident on the west side of the city reported a theft of metal scaffolding from his driveway.  The investigation is continuing.  Police are asking anyone who may have information in relation to this to please contact investigating officer Cst. More tools stolen

Belleville, ONT – On October 15th 2019 at 12:33 p.m. police responded to residence in the east end of the city for a reported theft of power tools worth an approximate value of $4,000.00.  The items were stolen from a shed on the property.  Police are asking for anybody who may have information about this to please contact investigating officer Cst. Bomb threat investigation

Belleville, ONT – On October 15th 2019 at 6:31 p.m. police were called to a business in the Market Street area for a report of a received bomb threat.  An investigation revealed a caller telling an employee that there was a bomb in a garbage container near the building that was going to blow up.  A search of the entire area was negative for any explosive devices.  Police have video surveillance to work with, and the investigation is continuing.  Police are asking anybody who may know of who may be responsible for this to please contact investigating officer Cst. Liquor arrest

Belleville, ONT – On October 15th 2019 at 7:03 p.m. police on patrol in the downtown came across a disturbance outside a licenced establishment.  After completing the investigation, a 28-year old city woman was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.  She was arrested for her own protection and for the protection of others in the area.  The female was transported to police headquarters and lodged to a holding cell before being released on the morning of October 16th with a provincial offence notice.
