Belleville, Ontario - On September 17 2009 at approximately 3:15 am, Officers were called to a report of an altercation involving several males at a Cannifton Road residence. One of the involved parties was arrested under the Liquor Licence Act for Public Intoxication for his own protection. The 19 year old Belleville man was transported to the Belleville Police Service and later released on a Provincial Offence Notice.
Theft from Motor Vehicle
Belleville, Ont. - On September 16, 2009, Police were called by employees of an east end business. Employees were in pursuit of a male whom had just broken into personal vehicles in the company parking lot.
It is alleged the male had entered a field in an attempt to elude the employees. When the male was located by officers he was emptying items from his pockets onto the ground. These same items were later matched to the vehicles by the owners. Two items included ammunition.
A 15 year old Belleville youth was arrested and charged with two counts of Theft Under $5000. from a Motor Vehicle, two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, one count of Breach of Probation and one count of Mischief Under $5000.
The youth cannot be named due to the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
