Arrest- Theft from Motor Vehicle(s)

Belleville, Ontario ? On 16 September, 2011 at 1:26 a.m., police attended at a residence on River Road in response to a complaint of an unknown person inside the residents' vehicle. The thief was last seen fleeing the area on foot.

Belleville Police Service uniform members and Canine attended and were able to follow a track that led to Harmony Road. Investigation of this incident resulted in the arrest of two Belleville men.

John Barnsley (18 years) of Belleville has been charged with one count each of Theft Under $5000.00, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (Under $5000.00) and Prowl by Night.

Christopher Town (18 years) of Belleville has been charged with one count each of Theft Under $5000.00, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (Under $5000.00) and Prowl by Night. Barnsley and Town are scheduled to appear in Provincial court on 20 October, 2011.

Assault Bodily Harm

Belleville, Ontario ? On 12 September, 2011 at 9:38 p.m., police attended at a residence in 400 block of Bleecker Avenue in response to a complaint of a disturbance. It was reported to police an adult female was hit and kicked by two other adult females.

Investigation of this incident has resulted in one 32 year old female being charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm for which she is scheduled to appear in Provincial court on 3 November, 2011. This investigation is ongoing.
