Belleville, Ontario –On September 15th, 2013, at 12:50 p.m. police attended at a store on Bell Blvd. in relation to a shoplifter. As a result of the investigation, a 61 year old Thomasburg man was charged with theft under $5000. He will appear in court on October 24th, 2013.
On September 15th, 2013, at 2:25 p.m. police attended at a store on Millennium Parkway in relation to a shoplifter. A 13 year old youth had been arrested by store security. Under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the youth was given alternative measures in lieu of a criminal charge.
On September 15th, 2013, at 3:35 p.m. police attended at a store on Millennium Parkway in relation to a shoplifter. Further investigation revealed that the shoplifter was also in possession of stolen items from another store. A 64 year old Campbellford woman was charged with theft under $5000. and possession of stolen property. She will appear in court on October 24th, 2013.
Belleville, Ontario – On September 15th, 2013, at 10:33 a.m. a resident on Ann Street reported that sometime overnight unknown person(s) "keyed” the passenger side of her vehicle.
On September 15th, 2013, at 11:05 a.m. police attended in the parking lot of the Sports Centre on Cannifton Road in relation to a damaged vehicle. A Chevy Venture van had sustained damage which included two punctured front tires and a cracked windshield. Belleville, Ontario –On September 16th, 2013, at 12:05 a.m. police attended at Little Texas in relation to unruly patron. It was learned that staff had removed a patron from the bar. As the male was being escorted out, the staff removed a canister of bear spray, a miniature club, and a kitchen knife from him. These items were turned over to police. The patron left the bar on foot in a northwesterly direction. The male is described as being white, 20 years of age, 5'4”, 110 lbs. with a tattoo on his neck. No one was injured; nor were any weapons deployed. Any information on this individual can be forwarded to the Belleville Police Service or Crimestoppers.
