Fail to Stop
On the 10th of December 2017 at approx. 1855hrs, police responded to a driving complaint in the east end of Belleville. The suspect vehicle was located and when the officer attempted to pull over the vehicle, it sped off in a dangerous manner crossing into the oncoming lanes trying to avoid the police. A short pursuit ensued and was called off due to public safety concerns. After a full police investigation, the identity of the driver was determined to be a male out of Kingston Ontario. A warrant will be issued for his arrest for charges ranging from Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, breach of probation, using license plates not authorized for the vehicle and driving while his license was under suspension.

Belleville, Ontario On 16 December 2017 with the assistance of Frontenac OPP a 36 year old male from Odessa was arrested and charged and was held for a show cause hearing on 18 December 2017
Belleville, Ontario – at approximately 930 pm police received a call of a possible impaired driver N/B on Hwy 62 from the County. The vehicle was located on Dundas Street East and stopped. The driver was arrested for Impaired operation of a motor vehicle. The driver was found to have well over 2 times the legal limit of alcohol in his system. 45 year old Bruce Hamilton of Shannonville was charged with Impaired Driving and Operating a vehicle over 80 mgs. He was released in a promise to appear in court in January 2018
At approximately 3am an officer on patrol stopped an erratic driver on Cannifton Rd. The female driver was found to have been drinking and was arrested for Impaired Driving. 31 year old Shannon Thompson of Tweed was charged with Impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle over 80 mgs. She was released on a promise to appear in court in January 2018. The RIDE Team stopped a total of 320 vehicles overnight.
At approximately 415am police received a call of a possible impaired driver on Moira Street West. The vehicle was located by officers in the area and stopped. Officers believed that the driver had been consuming alcohol and a roadside test was administered. The driver failed the roadside test and was arrested for Over 80 mgs. The male was taken to the station and subsequently blew over two and a half times the legal limit. 26 year old Dylan Chambers of Belleville was charged with operating a motor over 80 mgs and released on a promise to appear in court in January 2018
