Motor Vehicle Collision / Impaired Driving - Belleville, Ontario
Belleville, Ontario – On November 16th 2015 at 4:30pm, city police attended the intersection of Bridge St E and Farley Ave in relation to a motor vehicle collision involving 2 vehicles. There was moderate damage to both vehicles as well as some minor damage to city property. However, there were no injuries. During the police investigation, officers discovered that one of the drivers involved was under the influence of alcohol.
Dwayne Eastman (47 years of age), of Belleville was charged with Impaired Driving and is scheduled to attend court on December 17th, 2015.
Theft / Resist Arrest / Threats & Drugs - Belleville, Ontario
Belleville, Ontario – On November 16th 2015 at 6:30pm, police were called to attend a North end retail department store in regards to a shoplifting complaint. Upon arrival, police discovered the department store security involved in a physical confrontation with the male suspect. City police gained control and took the suspect into custody. While in custody, officers discovered the suspect to be in possession of a controlled substance.
Ronald Jackson, 53 years old, of Sutton Ontario was charged with Theft Under $5000, Resist Arrest, Utter Threats, Breach of Probation and possessing a controlled substance. Mr. Jackson is scheduled to attend court on December 17th, 2015.
