Assault
Belleville, Ontario ? On 15 January, 2011 at 10:15 p.m., police attended in the parking lot of a business on North Front Street in response to a complaint of assault. It is alleged that a male was denied cab fare and then the same male assaulted the driver. Leo Quinlan (27 years) of Belleville has been charged with one count of assault and will appear in Provincial court on 17 February, 2011.

Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario ? On 14 January, 2011 at 3:05 p.m., police attended at a residence on Tracey Park Drive in response to a complaint of a break and enter. The victim reported that on 14 January, 2011 between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. unknown person(s) entered this residence and stole electronics. This investigation is ongoing.

Impaired/ Over 80
Belleville, Ontario ? On 15 January, 2011 at 7:52 p.m., police attended on Pinnacle Street in response to a fail to remain collision. At 7:54 p.m. police located a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle that failed to remain just west of Church Street and Victoria Avenue. Investigation led to the driver of this vehicle being charged with Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle, Operation of Motor Vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol and Fail to Remain at collision. Drew Holmes (30 years) of Belleville will appear in Provincial Court on 17 February, 2011.

Mischief
Belleville, Ontario ? Between 1 November, 2010 and 29 November, 2010, 5 different locations in the City Of Belleville were damaged with graffiti. The graffiti consisted of spray paint and marker producing various symbols and words also know as tags.

  • On 15 November, 2010, The Clearing House, Front Street was spray pained overnight.
  • On 16 November, 2010, United Furniture Warehouse, Pinnacle Street was marked with various symbols overnight.
  • On 26 November, 2010, Royal Le Page Real Estate, Front Street was spray painted with various graffiti tags overnight.
  • Between 1 and 29 November, 2010, Empire Theatre, Front Street was spray painted with graffiti tags.
  • Between 1 and 29 November, 2010, Moira River Bridge, Bridge Street, West had multiple marking and various symbols left on the property.

A 14 year old Belleville youth has been charged with 5 counts of Mischief in relation to these incidents. The youth is scheduled to attend Youth Court on 25 January, 2010. The Youth Criminal Justice Act prohibits the identity of persons less than 18 years of age to be released.

Belleville, Ontario ? On 15 January, 2011 at 2:46 a.m., police attended at a business on North Front Street in response to a complaint by an employee that a window had been smashed within the business. Investigation of this complaint revealed that a male guest of the business had a deep cut on his right underarm. This male has been charged with one count of Mischief under $5000.00 and 2 counts of Breach of Probation. Bradley Hicks (27 years) of Lindsay will appear in court on 24 February, 2011.

Stolen Vehicle
Belleville, Ontario ? On 16 January, 2011 at 7:14 a.m., police attended at a residence on Village Drive in response to complaint of a stolen 1997 purple, Dodge Neon. The owner reported that this vehicle had been parked in the driveway for many months and has not been used and had very little gas in the tank. Unknown person(s) stole the vehicle from the driveway between 12:30 a.m. and 7:14 a.m...
