Accidents
Belleville, Ontario – Belleville Police Service responded to 9 accidents over the 24 hour period. The majority of these accidents were minor in nature.
On January 16th, 2015, at 4:45 p.m. police attended on Stanley Street as a vehicle had struck a pole. There were no injuries and this investigation is continuing.
On January 16th, 2015, at 5:08 p.m. police attended on North Front Street in relation to a two-car accident. A 30 year old Campbellford man was charged with an unsafe turn. One of the drivers reported minor injuries.
On January 16th, 2015, at 5:10 p.m. police attended at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Farley Avenue in relation to a two-car accident. A 29 year old Belleville man was charged with disobeying a red light. There were no injuries.
Arrest on warrants
Belleville, Ontario –On January 16th, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. a 72 year old Kingston man was arrested by the Kingston Police Service on a warrant held by the Belleville Police Service. The man was transferred to Belleville and held for a bail hearing. He was charged with failing to comply with conditions under the Sex Offender Registry Act.
