Break and Enter

Belleville ON- On 16 July 2019, at 8:45am, police attended a College Street West address regarding a break and enter. Unknown suspect reportedly entered a garage overnight and had stolen miscellaneous tools. If anyone has information, they are asked to contact Belleville Police Service or Crime Stoppers. 

 

Arrested on warrants

Belleville ON- On 16 July 2019, at 6:10pm, police observed a suspicious vehicle in the west end of the city. Police spoke with one of the occupants of the vehicle who police learned was wanted on warrants for failing to appear and theft. Donald Miller, 42, of Prince Edward County, was arrested and held for a bail hearing

Belleville ON- On 16 July 2019 at 8:20pm, police observed a female known to them to be wanted on North Front Street. Police stopped the female who was wanted for theft and fail to appear. Jennifer Murphy, 32, of Belleville was arrested and held for a bail hearing.

 

Traffic enforcement in high risk areas

Belleville ON- Members of the Belleville Police Service Traffic Safety Unit conducted traffic enforcement in high risk areas including the construction zone at the west end of Bell Boulevard and areas of Airport Parkway where loose gravel is present. Multiple drivers were charged with speeding as well as other offences. Police are reminding drivers to slow down and be cognizant of workers in constriction zones.

 

Disturbance leads to Domestic charges

Belleville ON- On 16 July 2019 at 10:25pm, police responded to a disturnace call at an east end address. On arrival, Police could hear a male and female yelling in the apartment, and they believed a physical altercation was occurring. Police had to force entry into the apartment, and located a male and female. A 50 year old male from Prince Edward County was arrested and charged for assault. A 52 year old female from Belleville was arrested and charged with failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking as she was not to communicate with the male after a previous assault charge. Both were held for a bail hearing. The accused parties are not being identified at this time.
