Arrested on warrants

Belleville, Ontario On June 16th, 2012, at 5:15 a.m., Police attended at a west end coffee shop in relation to a slumbering customer. A check revealed an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The 34 year old Belleville man was arrested without incident.

Assault with a Weapon

Belleville, Ontario On June 16th, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. Police responded to a disturbance call in the parking lot of 305 North Front St. One caller advised that there were four males fighting, and that one of the males was holding a 2 X 4'. Two males were arrested at the scene and a piece of lumber was seized. A 15 year old youth was charged with assault with a weapon, causing a disturbance by fighting, and breach of probation. He was held for a Bail hearing on June 18th, 2012. A 16 year old male was charged with assault and possession of a controlled substance. He will appear in Youth Court in July. There were no reported injuries.


Belleville, Ontario A total of 11 calls were generated at MusicFest in East Zwick's Park over a 12-hour period. Five people were arrested - four were intoxicated, while the fifth was arrested under the Trespass to Property Act. There were four incidents of found property including a ladies purse, 2 driver's licences, and 1 Health Card. There was one drug seizure with no charges laid.
