Belleville Police Service responded to 37 calls for service from the 16th of June 2019 at 5:00 a.m. to the 17th of June 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Theft Charge Laid

Belleville, Ontario – On the 16th of June at 11:00 p.m., police affected the arrest of a male for theft from an incident that had occurred on the 4th of May of this year. The suspect had stolen from a local gas station in May and was observed by the complainant of the theft at a restaurant next to the gas station last night prompting him to call police. Police identified the male as 36 year-old Belleville resident Michael Spatola. Spatola was released on a form 9 appearance notice with a July 18th court date to answer to the charge of theft under $5000.
