Bar Disturbances

Belleville, Ontario - On the 17th of May 2009 at 1:00 a.m., Police responded to a disturbance resulting from a fight at Matt & Joe?s.  Two Oshawa men, ages 22 and 23, had been ejected from the bar due to their unruly behaviour.  Both men continued to cause a disturbance outside in the parking lot and were arrested by Officers for Public Intoxication.  They were later released with Provincial Offence Notices.
Hit and Run Collision

Belleville, Ontario - On the 17th of May 2009, at 2:30 a.m., Police attended in the area of the GoGo Club in relation to a Hit & Run collision.  Witnesses described a Jeep Cherokee that had fled the scene after striking a car in the parking lot of the GoGo Club.  It was then learned that the second vehicle had also left the scene.  Both vehicles were located by Police parked on Tracey Park Drive, with a number of people were surveying the damage to both cars. One of the vehicles was subsequently searched for an alcohol infraction, and the Officer discovered a set of brass knuckles and a large knife.  These items were seized by Police.  Both vehicles were towed to the pound as the investigation continues.
