Belleville, Ontario ? On 15 May 2010, at 2:00 p.m., two males were observed in a white van (possibly a Ford Windstar). This van followed 3 children who were riding bicycles in the area to a residence on Pine Street. The children entered a residence on Pine Street. The driver of the van approached this residence and knocked on the door and asked for "Emma?. There is no Emma that resides at that address.
The male that approached the residence is described as Caucasian, approximately twenty years of age, taller than 6' with a thin build. This male was wearing a ball cap backwards, light coloured blue jeans, long sleeved collared shirt, partially unbuttoned at top, white running shoes (yet dirty with black shoe laces).
Belleville Police wish to speak with this male and are seeking the public's assistance.
Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident
Belleville Ontario ? The investigation of a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred in a private lot in the area of Hwy 62 and Maitland Drive, Belleville continues. Michael Anderson (44 years of Belleville) was operating an Arctic Cat All Terrain Vehicle without a helmet when he lost control of the vehicle and was struck by the vehicle. Anderson was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Break and Enter(s)
Belleville, Ontario ? On 17 May, 2010; between 12:40 a.m. and 2:16 a.m. police attended at 2 businesses in relation to break and enters. The initial incident was to a business on Pinnacle Street where the culprits smashed the glass to gain entry. The second incident came at 2:16 a.m. where the culprits smashed the glass of the front window of a business on South Front street. Once inside they stole 2 cases of beer. The investigation of these incidents is ongoing.
Threats, Mischief and Breach of Probation
Belleville Ontario, - On 14 May, 2010 at 10:00p.m., police attended at a residence on Pine Street in response to a complaint of mischief. The victim reported that he was woken by someone pounding on the front door of his residence. The victim contacted the police and advised this to the male causing damage to his door. This male then threatened the home owner and fled the scene. Further investigation lead to information that identified the male and the fact that the male was already on probation. This male was arrested a short time later in the vicinity of the initial complaint. Philip Mark Post (50 years) of Belleville has been charged with one count of Mischief, one count of Uttering Threats and one count of Breach of Probation. Post will appear in Provincial Court on 17 May, 2010 for a bail hearing.
