Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics

The Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics is the movement's largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle. At its most basic level, the Torch Run is an actual running event in which officers and athletes run the "Flame of Hope? to the Opening Ceremonies of local Special Olympics competitions, Provincial Games, and National Summer or Winter Games.

It is through the dedication, commitment and passion of the men and women in Law Enforcement that enables the Ontario program to continue to be not only the #1 fundraising arm for Special Olympics Ontario, but a world-class program recognized Internationally for raising in excess of $1,000,000 each and every year!

Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics (2.4km)

Tuesday May 24th, 2011 10:30 a.m., start at Winners Exit of the Quinte Mall run to City Hall.

Members of the Belleville Police Service and local Olympians will carry the Special Olympic Torch to City Hall. Belleville Police and volunteers will be accepting donations along the route. There will be a short gathering at the rear of City Hall where refreshments and water will be available.
