Impaired Driver

Belleville, Ontario – On October 16th, 2015, at 11:35 p.m. an officer on patrol checked a car on Bridge Street East.  The officer determined that the driver had been drinking and a breath sample was requested. The driver refused to provide a sample of his breath. He was arrested and charged with failing to provide a breath sample into an approved screening device. The 33 year old Belleville man will appear in court on November 5th, 2015.

Arrest on warrant

Belleville, Ontario – On October 16th, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. officers spoke with a male on Janlyn Crescent. A check revealed that the 33 year old Belleville man was wanted on an outstanding warrant held by the Belleville Police Service for breach of probation. He was released with a courtdate of November 12th, 2015.

Weapons

Belleville, Ontario – On October 17th, 2015, at 2:33 a.m. police attended at a residence on Albert Street in relation to a complaint of death threats. It was learned that one of the occupants had pointed a pellet gun in the face of another tenant. In addition, the accused had threatened to kill the tenant and her dog. A pellet gun was seized at the residence. A 40 year old Belleville man was arrested and held for bail on October 17th, 2015 on charges of weapons dangerous and uttering death threats. No one was injured in this incident.
