Update – Police Service Act

Belleville, Ontario - On the 18th of July, 2013 Constable Eric Shorey was found guilty by the Honourable Justice Tetley of Criminal Harassment and Breach of Trust and sentenced in November 2013.

On the 10th of January, 2014 Constable Eric Shorey was served a notice of hearing, alleging two counts of Discreditable conduct, 2 (1)(a)(ix) of the Code of Conduct, Regulation 168/10, as amended, Police Service Act.

A hearing has been scheduled for October 8 and 9, 2015 at the Fairfield Marriott in Belleville regarding the Police Service Act charges.

Belleville, Ontario – On 26 July, 2012 Constable Eric Shorey was charge with one count of Criminal Harassment and one count of Breach of Trust by the Ontario Provincial Police. 

Constable Shorey has been a member of the Belleville Police Service since 2007.  He is currently suspended from all duties with pay.
