Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, Ontario - On the 17th of January at 11:05am Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Sidney Street near Moira St.W involving 2 vehicles. Two motorists were travelling northbound when the vehicle following passed the lead vehicle. The driver began gesturing at the other motorist and then swerved into the lane. The vehicle collided and and one vehicle left the roadway. The motorist then exited his vehicle and began kicking the other vehicle. Sean Rappel 29yrs of Stirling is charged with Dangerous Operation and Mischief under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code. He is to appear in court February 21st. Belleville, Ontario Drug Seizure

On the 17th of January 2013, at approximately 13:40 members of the Belleville Police Service Drug Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a College Street residence and a vehicle stop in the industrial park in the city's North end.

As a result of the vehicle stop an adult male and adult female where arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Breach of Recognizance.

Charged with 3 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance is Colleen PETERSON of Belleville and charged with 2 Counts of Possession of Controlled Substance is John PARKS also of Belleville.

Police seized the following controlled narcotics and offence related property from the vehicle stop and search of the College Street residence.

  • Morphine pills
  • Oxycontin
  • Lorazapam
  • Temazapa
  • Bromazapam
  • Cell phones
  • Debt lists
  • Cocaine

PARKS was released on a Promise to Appear and an Officer in Charge Undertaking with a court date in early 2013. PETERSON was held for a bail hearing as at the time of her arrest she was already before the courts for previous drug related charges stemming from Project Script in July of 2012.

Two other adult females where arrested at the College Street residence but where released unconditionally without any charges.
