Suspicious male

Belleville, Ontario – On April 17th, 2013, at 7:10 p.m., police attended at a residence on Dundas Street West in relation to a suspicious male. This male had asked the homeowner if he would pay for a taxi to Montreal. A check revealed that the male had escaped from a psychiatric facility in Montreal on April 16th. He was apprehended and held for an escort team from the Montreal Police Service.


Belleville, Ontario –On April 17th, 2013, at 8:00 a.m. police attended at the top end of Front Street in relation to two males yelling at each other. A second call was received as they continued onto Station Street. A 50 year old Belleville man was arrested and charged with two counts of breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing on April 18th.

Break and enter

Belleville, Ontario –On April 17th, 2013 at 5:15 p.m., police attended at a Henry Street residence in relation to a complaint of a break and enter. Unknown person(s) entered the residence between 8:00 a.m. on April 16th and 5:00 p.m. on April 17th. Jewelry was taken as well as an oak Grandfather clock. Also taken was a stained glass window. Any information on this break and enter can be forwarded to the Belleville Police Service or Crimestoppers.
