Indecent Act

Belleville, Ontario - On August 17, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. a citizen was walking through a downtown parking lot when he observed a male walking through the same lot exposing his genitals. The suspect was walking along with a bicycle and carrying a fishing pole. The suspect's pants were unzipped with his genital being completely exposed.

The suspect is described as male, white, in his 50's, 6', shoulder length gray hair, wearing a green t-shirt, green shorts, and khaki ball hat. The suspect was last seen getting on his bike and ride south on Pinnacle Street.

Several officers responded to the area however the suspect was able to evade police. Police are requesting anyone who may know the identity of this person to please contact police at 613 966 0882 or Crime Stoppers at 613 969 8477.

Suspicious Person

Belleville, Ontario ? On August 17th police received 2 calls regarding the suspicious male who is using the rouse of ?money needed for gas for a broken down vehicle on the 401'.

On Monday August 15th at 2:00 p.m. a male approached an employee of a business on Dundas St East asking for ?money for gas'. He was described as approximately 35-40 years old, 6', 175lbs, wearing black jean shorts. He was also seen leaving the area in a black, Ford, ton pick up.

On Wednesday August 17th at 7:00 p.m., a male entered a business on Putnam Industrial Road and asked for ?diesel fuel'. When the employee indicated they did not have fuel he ?asked for money so he could assist his wife and child who were stranded on the 401 near Port Hope.' When this request was denied the suspect left the business. His description was the same as previously reported by other witnesses and again in this incident he was driving an older model black pick up truck. He was last seen heading south on Highway 37.

The Belleville Police Service is requesting the public to remain diligent in reporting suspicious persons to police.

Stolen Vehicle

Belleville, Ontario ? On August 17, 2011 a vehicle was reported stolen from Hoskin Court. The vehicle was stolen sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. from the front of the residence. The vehicle is a 2002, 2 door, grey Pontiac Sunfire with plate number BJBY344. The vehicle has a sun roof and cracked rear bumper.

Impaired Driving

Belleville, Ontario ? On August 17, 2011 at 9:20 p.m. police responded to a call regarding a vehicle that had been involved in a hit-and-run collision in a parking lot on North Front Street. The vehicle was located a short distance from this location and the driver showed obvious signs of impairment. Carla WALKER, 24 years old from Stirling, was arrested and charged with one count each of Impaired Driving and Over 80mgs. Walker was later released with a court date scheduled in September 2011.
