Belleville, Ontario – On February 17th, 2015, police responded to 5 accidents.

At 4:58 a.m. police attended on Airport Parkway as a truck had slid off the roadway into the ditch.  There were no injuries.

At 5:06 a.m. police attended on N. Front St. at West Moira St. as a City sidewalk snowplow had struck a vehicle.  The snowplow operator was taken to Quinte Health care by EMS for treatment of minor injuries.  The investigation is continuing.

At 9:33 a.m. a woman attended at the station to report a hit-and-run accident that occurred earlier on Front Street.  This investigation is continuing.

At 10:54 a.m. a hit-and-run accident was reported to have occurred on Casey Road on February 16th, 2015.  This investigation is continuing.

At 3:20 p.m. police attended on Dundas St. West at Avondale Road in relation to a two-car accident. A 53 year old Belleville man was charged with making an unsafe turn. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.  There were no injuries.


Belleville, Ontario – On February 17th, 2015, at 9:22 p.m. police attended on Patterson St. in relation to an assault allegation.  Three windows and a door were broken.  A woman advised that she had been assaulted by her partner who had fled prior to police arrival.  The male was located at an east end address and arrested without incident.  A 23 year old Belleville man was held for a bail hearing on charges of Mischief and two counts of assault. The woman suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
