Stolen vehicle

Belleville – Shortly before 10:00 A.M. on The 17th of February, police responded to a residence in Belleville’s north end for a report of a stolen vehicle. Sometime overnight a 2011 Chevy Malibu, 4D blue bearing license plate BYWM 655 was stolen. If anyone has any information with regards to this vehicle they are encouraged to call Belleville City Police at 613-966-0882 or 613-962-3456.

 

Impaired/dangerous driving

Belleville – At approximately 9:00 P.M. on the 17th of February, while on patrol in the city’s west end, an officer observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner, almost striking a pedestrian. The officer turned after the vehicle which continued to be operated recklessly and at high rates of speed. Eventually the officer was able to catch up to the vehicle and stop it on Bay Bridge Rd. The officer administered a roadside screening device for alcohol detection which the male driver failed. 24 year old Jesse Reesor of Trenton was arrested and taken to The Belleville Police Service where he further failed the intoxilyzer test. Reesor was released on a promise to appear with a March court date on charges of Driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit and dangerous driving.

 

Break and enter

Belleville – Shortly before 1:30 A.M. on the 18th of February, police received a call with regards to persons inside of an abandoned building in the City’s core area who were smashing windows. Upon arrival, police located two males inside the building and observed some of the damage that had been reported. Both males were arrested for break and enter and transported to The Belleville Police Service. Belleville residents Kolby Embury, 21 years of age, and Austin Murphy-Lucas, 20 years of age, were later released on promise to appears with one count each of break and enter. They were given a March court date to answer to the charges.
