Liquor License Act
Belleville, Ontario - On July 18 2009 at 10:00 p.m., Officers attended at a motel on North Front Street. An intoxicated male was observed kicking at the door of a vacant room. He was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. A 27 year old Yukon Territories man was arrested and charged with one count of Mischief in relation to damage to the motel door. He was later released from custody.
Belleville, Ontario - On July 18 2009 at 11:00 p.m., Officers attended on Victoria Avenue in relation to a male who was bleeding profusely from a cut to his forehead. The intoxicated male was escorted to Quinte Health Care for treatment. A further check revealed that this male was bound by an Undertaking with a condition ?not to consume alcohol?. The 28 year old Prince Edward County man was charged will appear in Provincial Court in August 2009.
Belleville, Ontario - On July 19 2009 at 12:15 a.m., Officers responded to a Transportation Fraud at a North Front Street bar. The males were located, and a 23 year old Aurora man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was later released from custody.
Belleville, Ontario - On July 19 2009 at 12:30 a.m., Officers attended at a North Front Street restaurant in relation to male who was unable to pay for his food and beverages. A 24 year old year old Thunder Bay man was arrested for Food Fraud in relation to his outstanding tab.
Belleville, Ontario - On July 19 2009, at 1:30 a.m., an intoxicated male attended at the front counter of the Police Station in an attempt to bail one of his friends out of jail. He refused to leave the Station when directed to do so by Police. The 23 year old Quinte West man was arrested under the Trespass to Property Act and lodged in a cell next to his friend.
Belleville, Ontario - On July 19 2009, at 2:30 a.m., an intoxicated female was arrested outside of a North Front Street bar. The 25 year old Belleville woman was lodged in the cells for her own protection and later released.
Belleville, Ontario - On July 19 2009, at 4:00 a.m. an officer conducted a vehicle stop on Bell Blvd.. It was determined that the driver had been drinking, and he registered a ?warn? on the Approved Screening Device. This resulted in an automatic 3 day license suspension. A further check revealed that this male was already a suspended driver. In addition, this male did not have a valid contract of insurance the vehicle. The 30 year old Campbellford man will appear in Traffic Court in August 2009.
