Assault Police

Belleville, Ontario ? On 15 July, 2011, police attended at a residence on William Street in response to a complaint of an unwanted person. Police arrived and at the request of the resident asked the 25 year old female to vacate the residence. The female refused and began to assault the police (by punching, kicking and spitting on police). The female was a subsequently arrested.

Kira Nestorovski (25 years) was charged with 4 counts of Assault Police and will appear in Provincial court on 25 August, 2011.

Assault/ Choking

Belleville, Ontario ? On 16 July, 2011 at 3:51 a.m., police attended at a residence on Front Street in response to a complaint of a domestic disturbance. Investigation of this complaint resulted in a 46 year old Belleville man being charged with one count of Assault and one count of Choking. This man will appear in Provincial court on 25 July, 2011.

Theft from Motor Vehicle/ Mischief

Belleville, Ontario ? On 18 July, 2011 at 2:00 a.m., police attended in the area of Liddle Lane in response to a report of 2 males going through parked vehicles. The males were described to police as both dressed in black, one wearing a red ball cap, slim, late teens and each carrying a black back pack. These males were last seen running southbound through back yards between Liddle Lane and McFarlane Avenue. Police checked the area for these males but were unable to locate them. Shortly after 3:00 a.m. police were called back to the area on McFarlane Avenue for a complaint of 2 suspicious males with similar descriptions as the previous complaint. Two males matching this description were observed in an open field south of Sports Centre. A witness reported to police that a fire was observed to have been started in the same area. Members of Belleville Fire Department were contacted to attend and the fire was extinguished. Officers searched the area and located 2 males matching the description previously provided of the males.

Two Belleville men (18 and 19 years) will appear in Provincial court on 18 July, 2011 for bail hearing in relation to this investigation. The 18 year old has been charged with one count of Mischief, Obstruct Police, Theft under $5000.00 and 2 counts of Failure to Comply with Disposition. The 19 year old male has been charged with one count of Mischief and 2 counts of Breach of Probation.
