Animal Complaints- Left in Vehicle
On the 17th of June 2017, Belleville Police responded to 6 calls for service regarding animals left in unattended vehicles. Police are reminding motorists that the temperatures can rise rapidly in motor vehicles when the air conditioning is not used. Even short periods of time can be extremely dangerous to an animal’s health. If you should see a situation like this please call Police.
At 9:17Pm Belleville Police responded to a disturbance on Linton Park Road. Upon arrival Police located a highly intoxicated 20yr old male in the street. He was arrested and transported to Belleville Police Service where he was held for his own protection and released the following morning when sober.
On the 17th of June at 10:24Pm Belleville Police responded to a disturbance at a residence on Bridge Street East. The investigation revealed that a 23yr old male had attended the residence and began arguing with the occupants, one of which he was in a previous relationship with. He then kicked a window causing it to break. The male was arrested and later released with a July court date, charged with mischief. The identity of the male is being withheld for the protection of the victim.
On the 18th of June 2017 at 2:25Am Police located a 22yr old male passed out on North Front Street. The male was highly intoxicated and transported to BPS where he was lodged in the cells until sober as he was unable to care for himself.
