911 Disturbance Call

Belleville, Ontario ? 18 March 2010, at 3:29 a.m. police attended at 153 Victoria Avenue, in response to a disturbance call. Upon arrival police found 2 males that sustained injuries during this disturbance. As a result of this situation both males were transported to Belleville General Hospital. Subsequently, one of the males was transported to Kingston General Hospital.

Belleville Police have many interviews to conduct in relation to this incident and are not in a position to comment on unconfirmed media reports at this time.

This investigation is ongoing.

Stolen Vehicle

Belleville, Ontario ? 18 March, 2010 at 5:59 a.m. police responded to a residence on Purdy Street in relation to a stolen vehicle. The victim reported that sometime between 0230 and 0520 unknown person(s) stole a 2000 Honda Accord, white with a black hood, roof and trunk with Ontario marker AKYC698 attached. This investigation is ongoing.
 

Warrant Executed

Belleville, Ontario ? 18 March 2010, Belleville Police Service Emergency Response Team and Ontario Provincial Police Weapons Enforcement Unit executed a firearms search warrant on a residence located on Tracey Park Drive, Belleville, Ontario.

Inside the residence investigators located two firearms, ammunition and a marihuana growing operation. None of the occupants were authorized to possess firearms nor were the firearms securely stored.

There are 3 persons charged in relation to this incident.

John Matthews (47 years) of Belleville, has been charged with one count each of Production of a Controlled Substance; Careless Storage of Firearm; Firearm: Unauthorized possession; Firearm: Knowledge of unauthorized possession; Firearm: Possession contrary to prohibition order and Failure to Comply with Undertaking and will appear in Provincial court on 22 April 2010.

Lisa Matthews (45 years) of Belleville, has been charged with one count each of Production of a Controlled Substance, Careless Storage of Firearm, Firearm: Unauthorized possession, Firearm: Knowledge of unauthorized possession and will appear in Provincial court on 22 April, 2010.

Steven Matthews (20 years) of Belleville, has been charged with one count each of Production of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a controlled substance, Careless Storage of a firearm, Firearm: Unauthorized possession, Firearm: Knowledge of unauthorized possession and will appear in Provincial court on 22 April, 2010.
