Fail to Comply with Release Conditions
Belleville, Ontario - On March 10, 2015 an officer was in the downtown area when he observed a 34-year-old female walking with a male. Both persons were known to the officer, and in particular, the female was known to be on conditions not to be around the male.
In fact, the officer had arrested the accused twice within the previous year for the same charge. As the pair stopped at the intersection of Bridge and Front streets, the officer called out to the accused, at which point she took off on the run, evading capture.
Tuesday March 17, 2015 the female turned herself in to police and she was subsequently charged with Breach of OIC Undertaking and held for a bail hearing on March 18, 2015.
During the overnight hours, it was found the female had concealed a quantity of drugs on her person in an effort to smuggle them into the Quinte Regional Detention Centre.
She was subsequently charged with an additional two counts of Breach of OIC Undertaking.
