Theft from Vehicles

Belleville, Ontario- On March 17, 2016 at 12:46 pm and 3:07 pm respectively, police took reports of two separate thefts from motor vehicles overnight on Liddle Lane.  Unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicles and removed spare keys from one vehicle and a wallet and garage door opener from another  vehicle. 

Impaired Driving and Drive over 80

Belleville, Ontario- On March 18, 2016 at 1:11 am, police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver that had driven over two curbs on Dundas Street East last seen heading westbound.  Police located the vehicle on Dundas Street East and observed the vehicle fail to stop for a red light in front of the hospital.  The vehicle was subsequently stopped and as a result, a 40 year old female of Shannonville, Ontario  was arrested for Impaired Driving.    She was later released on a Promise to Appear for Impaired Driving and Drive over 80 and given a court date later this month.

Assault Bodily Harm

Belleville, Ontario – On March 18, 2016 at 3:43 am, police responded to a bar on Northfront Street in regards to a mischief.  On arrival, police observed a male on the ground who was injured.   This male was transported to the hospital via ambulance and sustained numerous injuries to the head and ear area.  Police located another male who was identified by witnesses as the suspect.  As a result of a police investigation, a 20 year old male of Thomasburg, Ontario has been charged with Assault Bodily Harm and was later released on a Promise to Appear and OIC undertaking with a court date in April 2016. 

Mischief

Belleville, Ontario – On March 18, 2016 at 3:45 am, police responded to the same establishment on Northfront Street in regards to the original mischief call of damage done to a wall inside the bar.  Police located the suspect and arrested him for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place contrary to Sec. 31(4) LLA.  The investigation into the mischief is continuing.
