Disturbance- Belleville, Ontario

On the 17th of September at 10:05Pm Police responded to a disturbance call at a Baldwin Street residence. Investigation revealed that a male had damaged the residence and assaulted a female. The female was treated for injuries at Quinte HealthCare and the male was arrested nearby. A 29yr old male from Belleville is charged with assault causing bodily harm, mischief to property and breaching an officer in charge undertaking. He will be held for a bail hearing on the 18th of September.

Arson- Belleville, Ontario

On the 17th of September at 11:31Pm Police responded to a call for a burning vehicle in the Putnam Industrial area. The vehicle was completely destroyed.  Belleville Police and Belleville Fire are continuing the investigation. The vehicle was unoccupied and is believed to be suspicious. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Belleville Police or Quinte Crime Stoppers.

Stolen Vehicle- Belleville, Ontario

On the 18th of September Police investigated the theft of a vehicle at a Chatham Street residence. The vehicle, a 2000 Honda Accord, 4dr blue bearing Ont. plate BWSR232, was removed between the hours of 8pm and 12:30Am by unknown persons. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Belleville Police or Quinte Crime Stoppers.

Attempted Robbery- Belleville Ontario                                        

On the 18th of September 2015 at 02:00Am Belleville Police received a call for a suspicious male loitering on Front St. As officers approached the male fled on a bicycle. The male was identified as being wanted for a previous investigation of armed robbery. After a short foot pursuit the male was apprehended Catherine Street. A 32yr old male from Belleville is charged with 2 counts of attempted robbery with a weapon. He is being held for a bail hearing on the 18th of September 2015.
