Belleville, Ontario ? On 18 May, 2011 at 11:30 p.m., police were in the area of Victoria Avenue and William Street for an unrelated investigation. Police observed 2 males and female walking and then enter a residence on Ann Street. A short time later police heard and observed an altercation between a male and a female that led to the arrest of the male. While police were attempting to secure the male in a cruiser the male spat upon the police officer.
Michael Horne (40 years) of Belleville has been charged with 1 count of assault and 1 count of assault police. Horne is scheduled to appear in Provincial court on 30 June, 2011.

Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario ? On 19 May, 2011 at 5:33 a.m., police attended at a business on Bell Blvd in response to an intrusion alarm. Investigation confirmed that an uknown person threw a rock through the glass door and used this to gain access and steal money. This investigation is ongoing.

Motor Vehicle Collision
Belleville, Ontario ? On 18 May, 2011 at 10:16 p.m., police responded to a collision in the parking lot of a business at Bell Blvd and North Front Street. It was reported that a trailer became detached from the tractor and struck a light standard and illuminated sign. There were no injuries reported the driver of the tractor was charged with an offence from the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
