Break & Enter(s)

Belleville, Ontario ? Belleville Police responded to 4 Break & Enters in the last 24 hours. The first occurred on Frank Street sometime from Aug 16th to the 18th. A shed on the property was entered and a MIG Welder was stolen. A home on Albion Street was entered on Aug 18th sometime between 12:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. A homeowner arrived home to find entry had been gained through a bedroom window. It is unsure at this time what was taken. Another home on Moira St West was entered on Aug. 18th sometime between 6:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Entry was gained through a screen window on the side of the home. Thieves took 2 flat screen TV's, a Sony PS3 and a HP lap top.

On Aug. 18th at 9:00 p.m. as two residents on Lingham Street arrived home they found a suspect leaving their house with their TV in hand. They obviously startled the thief as when he/she saw them he/she dropped the TV and ran. The residents saw two figures fleeing but were unable to give any description of the suspects. Both suspects fled through their backyard. Further investigation revealed entry had been gained through an unlocked rear patio door.

All of these Break & Enters are currently under investigation.

Threats

Belleville, Ontario ? On August 18 2011 at 10:15 a.m., while an officer on patrol was investigating another incident on Pinnacle Street he was assisted by a second officer. This second officer approached the suspect in an attempt to speak to him. The suspect became agitated and confrontational. The suspect made threats towards the officer. Terry HANNAH, 58 years old from Trenton, was arrested and charged with one count of Utter Threats. He was later released with a court date scheduled in September 2011.

Theft from Motor vehicles

Belleville, Ontario ? Belleville Police investigated 4 theft from motor vehicles over night. Vehicles were entered on Stanley Street, Morris Drive, Grove Street and Sinclair Street. In one incident a back window was smashed to gain entry and in the remaining the vehicles were left unlocked. Taken was cash, a Garmin GPS, CD's, and a wallet.
