Assault
Belleville, Ont. - On December 19, 2009, at 12:20 a.m., two men were assaulted by several other men in the area of Boston Pizza on Bell Blvd.. Both were treated at Quinte Health Care and released. Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident. Information can be forwarded to either Constable Hadley or Crimestoppers.
Impaired Driver
Belleville, Ont. - On December 19, 2009, at 4:10 a.m., an officer on patrol observed a car going through a stop sign in the City's east end. This car was stopped, and the driver failed the roadside test. A 21 year old Tyendinaga Tp. Man has been charged with "over 80 mgs? and breach of probation. He will appear in court in January.
Weekend R.I.D.E
Belleville, Ontario ? Belleville Police conducted the R.I.D.E. program over the weekend at various locations throughout the City. A total of 3246 vehicles were checked with 9 of roadside screen device tests administered. There were 3 people charged with Drinking and Driving related Criminal Code offences and three people had their licence suspended.
