Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville, Ontario ? On 18 December 2011 at 10:27 a.m. Belleville Police attended Bay Bridge Road and assisted Ontario Provincial Police who were investigating a collision on the south side of the bridge.

At 12:15 p.m. Police attended Wallbridge-Loyalist Road in the area of West Moira Street for a two vehicle non-injury collision. The investigation continues.

Thefts from vehicles

Belleville, Ontario ? On 18 December 2011 in the morning police took several reports of thefts from parked vehicles which occurred overnight (17-18) in the Union Street area. Later in the evening on 18 December 2011 at 11:27 p.m. police were called to patrol the area of Albion Street looking for a suspect after several parked vehicles were entered and items stolen. A citizen observed a possible suspect who was described as tall, scruffy, wearing a ball cap, black sweatshirt, jeans and was riding a bicycle. Then on 19 December 2011 at 4:46 a.m. police were dispatched to patrol the area after a resident observed a prowler in a garage in the 100 block of Pine Street. No suspects were arrested.

Police would like to remind citizens to lock vehicles and garages and keep valuables out of sight.
