Traffic

 

Belleville ON – Police were conducting traffic enforcement at various locations in the city, with a mandate to ensure motorists were complying with City speed limits. Traffic enforcement was halted as police responded to the following incidents:

 

Break/Enter

 

Belleville ON – At 10:05pm on December 18th, 2016 police responded to a business alarm call in the city’s east end. Upon arrival police observed signs of forced entry and moments later a male suspect was arrested walking away from the area with a backpack containing stolen goods from the business – 37 year old Jeff Weiler of Belleville has been charged with Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property. The accused will appear in Belleville Court in January 2017.

 

Theft

 

Belleville ON – At 11:55pm on December 18th, 2016 police responded to a shoplifting call at Wal-Mart. 38 year old Lisa Smith was arrested for theft. She was later found to be in possession of illicit pills. She was charged with Theft under $5,000 and CDSA possession and will appear in Belleville court in January 2017.
