Assault with a Weapon Belleville, Ontario

 

 At approximately 1:26 pm on July 17, 2014 police received information about a disturbance in the area of Bridge Street West and James Street. The area was checked and all of the involved parties were gone prior to police arrival. An investigation was launched and as a result it was determined that a group had been involved in a dispute and a male had pepper sprayed a female. The male was located and arrested at approximately 12:10 pm on July 18, 2014. The 28 year old Belleville man was arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was held for a bail hearing on Monday July 21st. He faces charges of Assault With a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon, and Administering a Noxious Substance. The female victim was not seriously injured as a result of the incident.

 

Break and Enter Belleville, Ontario

 

 At approximately 1:27 pm on July 18, 2014 police were called to a Tracey Street residence to investigate a report of a break and enter. Sometime between 10:30 am and 12:15 pm the residence was entered while the homeowner was away. A Sony Playstation 3, an IPAD, and a set of Beats headphones were stolen from the home. Anyone with any information about this break in is asked to call the Belleville Police Service and/or Quinte Crimestoppers.
