Thefts-Car Entries


On the 18th of June 2017 Belleville Police responded to several complaints of vehicles being entered during the night in the area of Safe Blvd. Suspects entered parked vehicles and unlocked sheds removing property. Police are reminding owners not to leave valuables in unattended vehicles. Police also urge people to call should they see suspicious activities in their neighborhood. Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call Belleville Police or Quinte Crime Stoppers.


Breach/Drive Disqualified- Arrest


Shortly after 2:30Am on the 19th of June an officer on patrol stopped a vehicle on Moira Street West. Through investigation it was determined the driver was disqualified from operating motor vehicles and further was on conditions not to occupy the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle or be in possession of a cell phone. A 31 yr old male from Belleville was arrested and held for bail, charged with 2 counts of breaching an undertaking and one count of drive while disqualified. The vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
