Domestic Assault

Belleville, Ont:  On 19 November 2017 at approx. 0130 hours police were called to a disturbance at a North Front Street business. As a result of the investigation a 25 year old Prince Edward County man was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault and Mischief under $5000. The victim received minor injuries that did not require medical attention. The male was released from custody on a promise to appear in December 2017. The accused name will not be released due to the nature of the charges.

 

Impaired/Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, Ont: On 19 November 2017 at approx. 0200 hours an officer traveling on Pinnacle Street near Station Street came across a damaged vehicle that had driven over the median. The female driver was attempting to drive away but was unable to due to the damage to the vehicle. The female driver was arrested for impaired driving. Breath samples taken at the station found the driver to be well over the legal limit. 23 year old Amanda McMullin of Quinte West is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80mgs. McMullin was released on a promise to appear with a court date in December
