The Belleville Police Service responded to 79 calls for service between October 18th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and October 19th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

 

Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle by Drugs Arrest

Belleville, ON – On October 18th 2019 at 9:00 p.m. Police responded to the area of Bleeker Avenue regarding a report of an erratic driver who was all over the road. Police attended the area and located the suspect vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted where an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed that the 35-year-old Belleville male driver, Krzysztof Wolf, was impaired by drug and was subsequently arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service. Once at the Belleville Police Service, a Drug Recognition Expert confirmed the impairment by drug and Krzysztof Wolf was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle by Drug. He was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of the 31st of October 2019 to face the charge.

 

Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle by Alcohol Arrest

Belleville, ON – On October 19th 2019 at 3:30 a.m. Police, while on general patrol of the City, observed an erratic driver on Centre Street in the North East end of the City. Police initiated a traffic stop on College Street East where an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed that the 24-year-old Belleville male driver, Kevin Bedore, was impaired by alcohol. Mr. Bedore was arrested for Operation of a Motor Vehicle while impaired by alcohol, Over 80 and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle; he was subsequently transported to the Belleville Police Service. As a result, Kevin Bedore was charged with Operation of a Motor Vehicle while impaired by alcohol, Over 80 and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of the 4th of November 2019 to face the charge.

 

Intoxicated persons

Belleville, ON – On October 19th 2019, at 3:05 a.m. Police responded to a report of an intoxicated female in the area of Albany Heights. Police attended the area and located a highly intoxicated 28-year-old Deseronto woman who was arrested for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place. She was transported to the Belleville Police Service where she is to be released on a Provincial Offences Notice under the Liquor Licence Act when sober.

 

Arrested on Warrants

Belleville, ON – On the 18th of October 2019 at 6:05 p.m. Police located a 35-year-old Belleville male who was known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Failing to Comply with his Recognizance. The male was not cooperative with Police and further investigation resulted in several new charges. The male was arrested on the outstanding warrant and further charged with two counts under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Weapons Dangerous, Mischief Under $5000 and Obstruct Peace Officer. He was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he is being held for bail.

Belleville, ON – Police report a very busy night on Friday night, into Saturday morning, having attended to domestic disputes, motor vehicle collisions, neighbour and family disputes, traffic complaints, and harassment issues. Arrests were made, all while preserving the peace throughout the City.
