Impaired Driving

Belleville, Ontario - On Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 6:06 pm, police responded to a call at a business on Station Street about a possible impaired driver. Staff had refused to serve the male who was then observed sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot. Police located the vehicle a short distance away and the driver was arrested for Impaired Driving. The driver, Michael Parks, 52 years of age, was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive over 80 and released with a court date of November 29.

Belleville, Ontario On Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 6:06 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Pinnacle Street and Bridge Street. As a result of this stop, a 70 year old male was issued a 3 day licence suspension and his vehicle was towed.

Theft from Vehicle

Belleville, Ontario On Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11:45 pm, police responded to a call of a theft from a vehicle on Front Street. The complainant had parked his vehicle on the street and left his driver's side window down. While the male was talking to a friend on the street, he observed a female reaching into his vehicle and stealing money that he had placed in the console. The female suspect was last seen northbound on Front Street and is described as very thin, wearing black pants, black shirt, and carrying a red purse with medium length black hair and wearing blue eyeliner. Police checked the area as well as a few businesses with negative results. This investigation is continuing.
