Belleville Police responded to 73 calls for service between 5:00am on 18 Sept 2019 and 5:00am 19 Sept 2019.

 

Breach of Undertaking

 

Belleville Ont, On 16 Sept 2019 at 9:30 am  a Belleville male was released from the Belleville Police Service on a Promise to Appear and Officer in Charge Undertaking. He had been arrested the night before and charged with domestic assault. One of the conditions of his release was not to contact the victim in any way. Immediately after his release the male began communicating with the victim. As a result, there were reasonable grounds to arrest the male for breaching his undertaking. On 18 Sept 2019 at 600 pm the male attended at the Belleville Police Service and was placed under arrest. He was charged with one count of breaching his undertaking and held for a bail hearing on 19 Sept 2019. The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim

 

 

Arrest on Warrants

 

Belleville Ont, On 19 Sept 2019 at 12:10 am officers observed a male by the name of Cole Robinson, a 25 year old Belleville male, run into a building on Bridge St West. Officers had information that the male was wanted on outstanding warrants for 3 counts of breach of probation, and one count of failing to appear in court. He was arrested without incident. He was held for a bail hearing on 19 Sept 2019.

 

Stolen bike used to drive to court

 

Belleville ON- On 18 September 2019 at 10:50am a male was observed riding a bike to the court house on Bridge Street West. Another male walking in the area recognized the bike as one he had reported stolen days prior. Police were contacted, and they were able to confirm it was the stolen bike. Terry Gray, 35, of Belleville was charged with possession of stolen property and breach of probation. He will appear in court on 17 October.
