Police Assistance On 1 February 2013 at 14:22 police attended on Moira Street East in response to a report of a car in the Moira river.

Investigation of this incident determined that a resident from Moira Street East was working on a car and the car slipped out of gear and rolled into the river. Police stood by while unsuccessful attempts were made to pull the gold van from the water but the conditions of the river were too dangerous at the time.

The van remains in river at this time and no injuries were reported in relation to this incident.
