Business, Residential Break and Enter Arrests

Businesses

Between 6 and 13 May, 2012, individual businesses from Pinnacle Street and Cannifton Road reported overnight break ins.

Investigation by uniform and forensic identification officers resulted in arrests.

In relation to the break and enter from Pinnacle Street, John Serson (46 years) of Trenton has been charged with one count of Break and Enter and one count of Possession under $5000.00 of Property Obtained by Crime. Serson is scheduled to appear in Provincial court on 30 August, 2012.

In relation to the break and enter on Cannifton Road, 2 males (14 & 16 years) both of Belleville were charged with one count each of Break and Enter. Both males are still before the courts. The Youth Criminal Justice Act protects the identity of persons less than 18 years of age that have been charged with a criminal offence.

Residential

On 20 April, 2012 a daytime break and enter was reported to police in relation to a residence on Gordon Street. On 23 April, 2012 a theft from a Moira Street West residence was reported to police.

Investigation of these incidents resulted in:

1. Alyssa Scurry (21 years) of NFA being charged with Break and Enter,

Theft under $5000.00 and Possession Under $5000.00 of Property Obtained by Crime (2 counts)

Scurry will next appear in provincial court on 5 September, 2012.

2. Bryon Leblanc (19 years) of NFA being charged with Break and Enter,

Theft under $5000.00, Possession under $5000.00 of Property Obtained by Crime (2 counts) and Breach of Probation (2 counts)

Leblanc will reappear in provincial court in August 2012.

On 22 May, 2012 a resident from Lambert Drive reported a daytime break and enter to their residence. On 11 July 2012 a resident from Avonlough Road reported a daytime break and enter.

Investigation of these incidents by uniform and forensic identification officers resulted in the arrest of Allan Hewitt (34 years) of Belleville.

Hewitt has been charged with Break and Enter (2 counts), Fraud Under $5000.00 and Possession Under $5000.00 of Property Obtained by Crime in relation to the break and enters from Lambert Drive and Avonlough Road. Hewitt will next appear in Provincial court on 6 August, 2012.
