Impaired Driver

Belleville, Ontario ? On November 1, 2010 at 9:30 p.m., a North Front Street restaurant employee reported a possible impaired driver on their property. The driver drove his vehicle to the drive thru window of the restaurant. The driver showed signs of intoxication therefore out of concern the employee called police. Police located the driver on the scene and as a result Christopher Guest, 25 years old from Quinte West, was arrested and charged with Drive While Impaired and Over 80mgs. Guest was later released with a court date set in December.

Theft of Donation Boxes

Belleville, Ontario ? On November 1, 2010 the Belleville Police Service received a report that unknown suspects had stolen four Poppy Donation Boxes in the City of Belleville.

Two boxes were taken from the Tim Horton's at Bridge St West and Sidney St and two boxes were taken from the Tim Horton's on Dundas Street West. These thefts have occurred over the past few weeks. The total value of these donation boxes is estimated at $150.00. The monies donated within these boxes are for charitable purposes and police would like the assistance of the public in this regard.
