Belleville, Ont. ? On September 15, 2009 at 10:00 p.m., Police had responded to an east end address regarding a theft from a motor vehicle. The owner had reported sometime overnight her unlocked vehicle had been entered. Thieves removed the owner?s purse from the vehicle.
When the owner began the process of cancelling her credit cards one of the customer service providers for one of her cards advised that the credit card had been active overnight on that date.
On October 2, 2009, further investigation revealed the card had been used to make five separate purchases at various locations in the City of Belleville between 1:42 a.m., and 7:50 a.m., on September 15, 2009.
Further investigation has revealed the suspect is described as male, white, approximately 30 years old, heavier build, dark hair in a pony tail, wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs ball cap, beige pants, blue/grey jacket. This incident is currently under investigation.
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 2, 2009 at 1:30 a.m., Police responded to a Casey Road address with a report of a Theft in progress. The property owner woke to hear someone attempting to steal a wood splitter that was chained to a tree on his property. When he approached, the two males ran off on foot.
The suspects are described as approximately 5?6? to 5?8? in height, slim build, wearing dark clothing, toques, and gloves.
One male was observed running east on Casey Rd along the ditch while the second male ran directly across the road into a farmer's field, heading south towards the 401.
This incident is currently under investigation.
